WEEKLY MEDITATION

Exploration is the essence of life.

Why do children have such fun playing?

Because they’re exploring while they do it.

But now that you’re all “mature” and “grown up” you no longer need to play, right?

You have more “important” things to take care of.

If you believe this, your opinion is objectively wrong.

Heraclitus said “man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play” because when a man has lost that childlike sense of wonder, he’s barely a human at all. Essentially he’s a robot.

That playful exploration children engage in daily is what life is all about.

If life stops feeling like an adventure, you’re doing it wrong.

There are two great frontiers of exploration: the outer world and the inner world.

- Adventure is outward exploration: It is interaction with reality itself. travel, challenge, socializing, discovery, risk. You meet people, test ideas, and confront chaos in the outer world.

- Meditation is inward exploration: It is interaction with consciousness. stillness, presence, visualization, prayer, communion with God, astral travel. You explore memory, intuition, archetype, emotion, and the deeper layers of being.

The easiest way to access this sense of exploring with your life is to look at everything as an experiment without judgement.

Whatever the outcome, you learned.

Great, now move on.

Stop putting so much pressure on the outcome and just enjoy what you’re doing for once.

God is Great. We’re all gonna make it

“To be conscious of being poor while praying for riches is to be rewarded with that which you are conscious of being, namely, poverty. Prayers to be successful must be claimed and appropriated. Assume the positive consciousness of the thing desired.”

VRILL INSIGHTS

LESSON IN THERE, THERE IS

Journal entry one. Well, the first one at this point in my life. I'm in Vung Tau, a beach city two hours from Ho Chi Minh.

I've been to Thailand. The vibes are not the same. The tourists here don't feel like tourists.

They are more like residents hiding from something. Either from their past or from the judgment of people who used to love them.

Lesson in there.

You might ask yourself how I ended up here. Wrong question.

The right one is; What lesson can be taken from this?

As I write this I am praying that more people understand the gift that is the meme "Lesson in there".

The heroes journey is not about gaining skills and experience so that you can win the game and then come back to your village to showboat.

Sadly, this is how we view it today. Win big or go home. Money and status.

Going on a divine adventure and slaying the proverbial dragon is more about the hyper-novelty one has to face.

The more the environment changes the more you will be have to change with it.

Every time there is a lack of internal stability it become apparent so that you can recenter the balance.

Every time the stability is shaken there is a lesson to be learned.

This is where true wisdom lies. It does not lie in external knowledge. In books, in podcasts, or degrees.

I'd be a wise motherfucker if this were the case.

It exists solely internally.

Wisdom is gained by the interplay, or dance, between you and reality.

As you aggressively dance with reality, the ups and downs are faster and more frequent. But, the lessons that God will give you are worth every disturbance.

Internal stability is for the old. Grandma should be chilling, taking care of her cat and tending her garden. You should not.

This is probably where the concept of retirement stems from. It is the willing retreat back to your safe home as you get old to give back what you have left to your community.

Mainly wisdom from your adventures.

Retirement as we have it is a scam. No job, no purpose (for most). No job, no friends (for most).

Lesson in there.

Ruthlessly pursue action. Especially toward the side where the grass looks greener. Don't listen to advice about sticking to something because it is good or learning to love your life as it is (environment).

Lesson in there.

Stability breeds pussies. Voluntary instability breeds wise men. Young dudes need to go on the attack. After living abroad for the better part of 3 years and moving every month the past five I have had more lessons revealed than in the previous 26 years of my life.

Lesson in there.

When I go back to my village it will be the same environment but I will have had way more lessons, and more lessons equals better life. Life lesson? Lesson life? What is life but a lesson?

Lesson in there.
