It’s been exactly 3 years since I started creating content and posting it on instagram. I started with no experience, no mentor, no plan, and no strategy.
In fact, I still don’t have a plan. You don’t need a plan. No one needs a fucking plan. Because things will never go according to plan.
What you need to do is start. NOW. No more thinking. Plan in motion. Be present. If you have a project or idea you want to start working on, take this as your sign to finally get it done.
Most people are stuck in the planning phase for years. They’ll buy expensive equipment, buy some courses, watch 1000s of hours on Youtube and if they do ever finally start they realize they don’t even enjoy the process.
Enjoying the process is how you ACTUALLY learn. Fun is key. I never TRIED to learn how to edit, build a brand, make content, etc. I just enjoy it so much that improvement happens naturally.
If you wait for the ‘perfect moment’ you’ll be dead before it ever comes. You have two options in life, follow your dreams or death. Either death of the body or death of the soul. But either way you’re letting God down by failing to use your gifts.
Don’t let this scare you. Let it inspire you. Now GO!!

SELF-HELP IS NOT HELPING
You need to let go
I grew up never discussing God. Ever. No one I knew was religious. My family, atheists. My friends, atheists. My city, atheist. My country, atheist.
At 18, I had the realization I could not live without meaning. As a good boy I made self-improvement my source of meaning. I thought it would eventually save me and I'd be happy, strong and healthy.
At 23, the honeymoon period of extreme growth was over. Sure, I was happier, stronger and healthier. But, something was fundamentally missing.
At 26, getting to know @thevriller allowed me to use my own concept of God in conversation. It set me free. Thousands of layers of conceptual fog bypassed in an instant.
The intellectualization and systematization of growth paradoxically kills the animating force that makes growth meaningful.
The optimization frenzy a lot of young dudes get stuck in is in fact a state of hubris. We operate from the assumption that we can architect our own future from a position of limited knowledge about what we actually need or where we're meant to go.
Protocols become prisons
You are constantly measuring yourself against an "ideal you" that you've mentally constructed. You are not perfect but the idea of your ideal is.
In a state of perpetually measuring the gap between the two it is obvious you will be dissatisfied. You live on the hope that one day there will be no gap.
Everyday you learn more. Everyday you move the goal post forward. The gap seemingly never narrows.
You're chasing a ghost that only exists in your head. That's exhausting, and worse, it's spiritually deadening.
People for whom self-help saved them maybe stick to it for a couple of years and then the weight of weighing themselves against their ideal becomes to heavy. They stop. The retreat back to a state of non-examined normality.
There is another path.
The magic is in the not-knowing, in the surrender, in doing the work in front of you without obsessing over whether it aligns with some master plan you've written.
Doing the work in front of you is the antidote. Being radically present-focused is the key.
The only way to get there? God.
There's an implicit faith there. That if you show up authentically to what’s immediately before you, the next right thing will reveal itself.
That's different from passive fatalism. It's active engagement without anxious control.
Autistic optimization is the intellectualization of the divine mission pulling us forward. It removes the magic and without magic there is no animating spirit that pulls us forward. And God is not there to lead us in the right direction.
Wouldn't one assume that where God takes you is where you "want" to go. Instead of thinking that you can self-generate the future you want in the present. What makes you believe you know what future you wants?
The future you think you want is a construct; the future that actually wants you is something else entirely.
Stop justifying your happiness by how far you've come.
Stop justifying your dissatisfaction by how far you are from where you want to go.
Stop justifying. Period.
Maintain your relationship with God and do the work in front of you.

Ayoooo what’s up gang. Here’s a quick update from @MJ and I. We’re still out here in Brasil slaving away at making Vrillerism the best brand in the goddamn world.

Trumpie boy is making it expensive for us to ship to the USA and the great EUROPA. So we gotta hold off a little bit. Just know that it’s still in the works and that merch WILL come. TRUST!
For those of you who are waiting on the first event, in two weeks we’re going to Southeast Asia. We’ll be there for a while. And we’ll most likely have the first event somewhere out there during Q1. Jungle airbnb lock in perhaps?
