WEEKLY MEDITATION Exploration is the essence of life. Why do children have such fun playing? Because they’re exploring while they do it. But now that you’re all “mature” and “grown up” you no longer need to play, right? You have more “important” things to take care of. If you believe this, your opinion is objectively wrong. Heraclitus said “man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play” because when a man has lost that childlike sense of wonder, he’s barely a human at all. Essentially he’s a robot. That playful exploration children engage in daily is what life is all about. If life stops feeling like an adventure, you’re doing it wrong. There are two great frontiers of exploration: the outer world and the inner world. - Adventure is outward exploration: It is interaction with reality itself. travel, challenge, socializing, discovery, risk. You meet people, test ideas, and confront chaos in the outer world. - Meditation is inward exploration: It is interaction with consciousness. stillness, presence, visualization, prayer, communion with God, astral travel. You explore memory, intuition, archetype, emotion, and the deeper layers of being. The easiest way to access this sense of exploring with your life is to look at everything as an experiment without judgement. Whatever the outcome, you learned. Great, now move on. Stop putting so much pressure on the outcome and just enjoy what you’re doing for once. God is Great. We’re all gonna make it |
