VRILL INSIGHTS
IMITATION IS SUICIDE
Do you remember what it was like to be a child?
Everything was happening then and there, & you were just in your own world.
The more you focus on the afterlife, the worse your life gets.
Doesn’t matter what version of life after death you believe.
You must be present.
You focus so much on making it into heaven that you miss out on this life that God gave you.
Wanting to be remembered is a sin.
It is a form of controlling other people by attempting to control their thoughts.
You can never know what other people think, you can only know what YOU think.
People don’t like you because you don’t like you.
How do you expect people to respect you when you don’t respect yourself.
Stop trying to change the world.
Focus on changing your world.
This is actually how you make a difference.
Stop trying to live in other people’s minds.
You already got your own mind to take care of.
Stop following anyone you want to be like.
Only listen to people that make you more YOU.
You aren’t supposed to be like anyone except yourself.
Do you even know what you want?
Or do you just want stuff you heard other people say they wanted.
You want to be an artist not because you like art, but because you like the way artists are noticed by the world.
We respect Picasso because he mastered his craft first, then proceeded to paint like a child for years.
Those paintings weren’t technically “good” but they were 100% genuine.
He was doing it for himself, and himself alone.
Your dream life is the byproduct of your passion.
But how do you know what your passion is?
Its simple, Whatever you were naturally inclined to do as a child.
Remember what that is then adapt it to the world of today.
What did u do when you were 5?
What did u create?
What came naturally to you before you started worrying about what other people thought?
You don’t have to go back to being a child but you just have to rediscover what made you feel alive back then and then find new ways to express it.
Consciousness evolves alongside society.
Trying to bring back the past is detrimental to the evolution of humanity.
What can the future look like?
Use your imagination.
Imagination is key.
Imitation is suicide.
Not literally of course, but you kill your soul a little bit every time you try and be like someone else.
Have an original idea for once and stop repeating stuff people have already said.
Take from them and adapt what is useful, then discard what is useless.
Focusing on yourself is the best way to help other people.
You aren’t a good person because you betray your soul but still give some dollars to the homeless.
You are deceiving yourself.
God wants you to be your true self entirely.
And ironically, this how you end up helping the most people.
Wealthy people will often donate to charity because they spent their hole life being greedy and subconsciously feel like they gotta give back somehow.
But that doesn’t help. Who did they inspire?
You can help so many more people by being selfish with your time.
Why does the world respect people like Conor Mcgregor and Michael Jordan?
Because they spent years focusing on their craft, being extremely selfish with their time, and keeping their fire alive.
They didn’t care about “helping the world” but ended up inspiring millions through their love for their craft.
Happiness never diminishes by being shared.
One candle can light thousands, the brighter it shines the more it illuminates its world.
Just as one candle lights another and can light thousands of other candles, so one heart illuminates another heart and can illuminate thousands of other hearts.
- Leo Tolstoy
Burn your fire so bright the world can’t resist being inspired.
This is the esoteric meaning of the Christ consciousness.
Christ is not just someone to worship, but an example of what you are capable of becoming.
The point isn’t just to believe in Christ, but to embody what Christ represents.
Your inner fire should ignite fires in other people.
Not by preaching to them or by forcing your beliefs onto them but by becoming a living example of what is possible.
Why claim to follow the light if you spend your entire life hiding your own?
The people who help the world the most are also the most capable of evil (aka have the biggest shadows).
But their shadow is conscious instead of unconscious.
Think of Anakin vs. Luke Skywalker.
They both contain darkness, as do we all, but one of them transmuted it and the other became entirely consumed by it.
You don’t become good by pretending to be incapable of evil.
That is called repression.
Integrate your shadow and it will help you, but you try to destroy your shadow and it will end up destroying you.
The world loves you when you love something (not someone) more than yourself.
But how do you know whether you’re pursuing something because you genuinely love it, or because of what you think it will give you?
How do you distinguish between your own desires and the desires you’ve inherited from the world?
Look at what governs your life.
Look at what you would continue doing even if nobody was watching.
According to Emanuel Swedenborg, Your ruling love is the deepest love that governs your life, shaping your thoughts, actions, desires, and ultimately who you become.
For example, a musician whose ruling love is music creates because he loves to create.
Fame, money, and recognition are secondary.
Even if nobody listened, he would STILL make music.
His ruling love is music itself, not what music can give him.
These are the people who end up becoming famous for what they pursue anyway.
Kanye West is a great example.
He is famous because of the music he creates.
He has such a strong drive for something other than himself that we are forced to pay attention.
He doesn’t create to be famous.
He is famous because he creates.
He doesn’t care about being remembered.
But he will be remembered because he cares more about his art than he does about fame.
What is your ruling love?
What is your passion?
Only YOU can answer this.
Go stare at a wall until you remember your inner child.
